After painting the grandfather and grandmother, I now got to paint their son, Sigurður Ámundason, the father of the one who commissioned me.
Painting from old photographs can be quite challenging. I find it quite amazing to paint many members of the same family, the family resemblance comes through and I cant help but to think about the lives they all lived while painting them.
