When painting, I like to listen to my playlist on Spotify which I call ‘Painting in Iceland’ and includes mostly songs by Icelandic musicians but also a few others.
The Icelandic troubadour Bubbi Morthens has been my favorite for a long time and the text in one of his songs inspired me for the setting of this painting of the lighthouse by Grótta.
