Stormur í aðsigi

The title, ‘Stormur í aðsigi’ means in Icelandic: A storm is brewing.

The Westman Islands have always been dear to me, and the way I used to see them from the South coast shore was often in a haze, fog, or in a glowing light.

The painting features a rich texture and metallic paint in blue, pink, and gold, which gives it a cool and ever-changing tone depending on the light shining on it.
