Frosti

We didn’t know the name of the model, but the name Frosti spoke to me as a fitting name; it means ‘Frosty’ in English.

When I saw the photo of this horse, I contacted the photographer to get permission to paint him. The long hair, the look he gives (notice the small wrinkles around his nostrils), and his color.

I figured it would make the perfect little portrait of an Icelandic horse.
