Gibba gibb
40 x 60cm
Gibba gibb is a heavily textured painting of four Icelandic sheep. Three with horns, one without.
This was fun to paint.
In Iceland, we use the term Gibba-gibb when we speak or call the sheep. Call them to come for their food, or just to talk to them.
The thick texture gives the gestural palette knife strokes a good boost in the wool section.
