Hestaferð, annar áfangi

Hestaferð means horse trip.

Hestaferð, annar áfangi means the second leg of the trip.

This means, people take many horses with them that run loose, but there are riders in the front to control the herd, as well as in the back, to make sure no horse will be left behind. This also allows the horses who are ridden each time, to rest, while the rider picks another horse from the herd for the next leg of the trip. Often people ride into the Icelandic highlands, where one can enjoy beautiful nature.

These are painted as 4 individual paintings, that can all be bought separately, but also go very well together and tell a story where the horses come and go in and out of the paintings.
