Ice Horses

When the winter melts away, or even during the middle of the winter after a rainstorm washes most of the snow away, it tends to leave chunks of ice here and there.

While we were driving, we saw white ice formations which were leaking down rocks, reflecting in the ocean below, near the town Borgarnes in West Iceland.

I took a picture to use as a reference for a more abstract painting than I would normally paint.
