Knitted Together Forever
Knitted Together Forever symbolizing the friendship between the new owner and her friend who has passed. They were in Iceland in a knitting group, staying at our B&B
I’ve been painting a few paintings of Icelandic Sheep lately.
When I was a farmer, I preferred sheep with horns to start with, but eventually liked better the ones without horns, which is why I like to paint both.
This painting has a lot of texture, many layers, and was sold before it was finished.
The story behind it is beautiful.
When we ran the B&B in our house here in Borgarnes, we hosted knitting groups every year. The host with the participants would stay with us for 4 nights, sit in the living room and knit with Icelandic Wool.
