Stáli frá Kjarri

Stáli frá Kjarri is a very well-known first prize Icelandic stallion.

We owned some of his offspring, and one of my favorite riding mares, Stáltá, was his daughter.

I asked for permission to paint him to be able to show that I can paint likenesses in horse portraits, yet keep a painterly style to it with some texture and looseness.
