Þórólfsfell mountain in the background, herd of horses crossing one of many glacier rivers on the way from Þórsmörk.
One of the favorite things I used to do during my farming days was to go riding into the highlands with friends and family. We would take a herd of horses with us which ran free between the riders in front and back.
This is an oil painting from one of those trips to Þórsmörk. The mountain in the background is Þórólfsfell, and the horses are crossing one of many glacier rivers on the way.
