Kiljan

Kiljan, a custom painting for a new friend I made in Switzerland during the World championships for Icelandic horses.
I got the perfect photograph to paint from, the owner is a photographer 🥰.

I love the name, as he is born in France in a year when all their foals names started with the letter Q. We don’t have a in the Icelandic alphabet, but it reads nicely like the Icelandic Kiljan so it fits well.
He is now living his senior years, and they wanted a painted portrait of him.
