Kofri við Súðavík

Kofri við Súðavík is a mountain in the Westfjords of Iceland.

A commissioned painting from this summer. Landscape is one of my most favorite subjects to paint.
Doesn’t matter if it’s from photographs or from imagination.

In this case, I got two photos (swipe) to work from, where one shows the shape the angle of the mountain top and the other shows the setting or view, but without the houses.

With a little help from Google Maps, I puzzled together the composition for this painting.
