Snæfellsjökull Glacier
Snæfellsjökull glacier, stratovolcano at the western end of Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Iceland.
This glacier is known for many things, among them that during certain times of the year, during sunset, it’s like the sun is going down into the middle of the cap and the whole glacier glows. Originally I wanted to paint it kind of glowing with the orange sky, but decided later to leave it rather with very typical clouds, but keep part of the very faint orange light.
