Bleikur

I have painted a large portrait of Bleikur frá Kjarri before, you can see it here.

This time, I asked for permission to paint a small portrait of him again, to bring to the World Championships for Icelandic Horses in Switzerland, to be able to show likeness, yet a painterly style.

Many horse owners want a commissioned piece, so it is good to be able to show them some sample work.

The portrait of the two horses, is of Bleikur and Stáli frá Kjarri, his father.

Even though I used the reference photo of Bleikur, someone saw the likeness of their own horse in the portrait and bought it.
